As of 13 July 2009, a total of 77,993 confirmed cases of the pandemic H1N1 2009, including 530 deaths, have been notified in 31 countries of the Americas,
The following overseas territories have confirmed cases of pandemic H1N1 2009: Guam, U.S. Territory (1); Puerto Rico, U.S. Territory (18); Virgin Islands, U.S. Territory (15); Bermuda, UK Overseas Territory (1); Cayman Islands, UK Overseas Territory (14); British Virgin Islands, UK Overseas Territory (2); Martinique, French Overseas Community (3); Guadeloupe, French Overseas Community (2); Saint-Martin, French Overseas Community (1); Netherlands Antilles, Curaçao: (10)a; Netherlands Antilles, Aruba (13); Netherlands Antilles, St. Eustacius (1); and Netherlands Antilles, St. Maarten (8).
WHO is not recommending any travel restrictions related to the pandemic H1N1 2009.
In the Americas Region, there were additional 1,232 confirmed cases and 25 deaths compared to 10 July.
Bolivia notified it’s first two deaths caused by influenza A (H1N1)pdm.
